Recently, I've a trouble that I got to implement a Digital TV Converter Box in my RV. I don't know whether it has to go on the video or it should connect to a TV Distribution Box that can provide me to switch to my Televesion's from antenna/satellite and or cable? Finally I figure out I have to install a Digital TV Converter Box in my RV.

Prior to installation what you have to do is, If you have figure out that your TV's RVs did not have digital tuners, then you will need one Digital TV Converter Box and one extra length of cable for each TV. If you have a VCR that does not have a digital TV tuner, then if you have no choice but get a converter box as well as extra length of cable. When you are purchasing the converter boxes, you must make sure that the converter box has the Analog Pass Through option. With the Analog Pass Through feature it will permits analog signals to cross through the Digital TV Converter Box when it is turned off. If you would like to hook up an RV park to the cable, or if you want to watch a video or DVD the converter box have to be power off to let the analog signal will be able to cross through the converter box and direct to your TV.

If you didn't get Analog Pass Through to you'll need to install the switches and basically be creating a nightmamre for yourself for the installation. What you have to understand before installation most RVs have a video switch box with knobs and buttons which allows you to select different telecasting sources for your RV with various TVs. But usually you have a lot of choices such as Cable, Satellite, DVD, Antenna, VCR, etc.

The disadvantages of the Video Switch Box you'll find a lot of cables coming out into the box and leaving the box, do not intimidate by these cables. You'll simply be cared about the cables that departing the PC/TV Switch Box that going to connect directly to the TVs in your RV.

You have to check on how the Video Switch Box is installed together with the RV, you may have to start moving things distant more or less to get the back of the box where all of those cables are located. Due to some different configurations in each RV, I cannot tell you whether it is easy or hard it is going to be to get to these cables on the back of the Video Switch Box.

At the back of PC/TV switch box will have labels on each of the cables which can either go in or coming out. The converter cables which you're looking for going directly to your Televisions they'll have labels such as TV1 Out, TV2 Out. The marking will be different by manufacturer name. The TV to PC Converter Box will be set up on the cable leading towards your TV from the Video Switching Box. Where you place the PC/TV Converter Box on this cable it will depends on where the TV is actually located.
